Scottie was for many decades a passionate and fearless voice for social justice. She served for many years as an official of the NYS NACCP, as a State Democratic Committeeperson, as president of the Lakeview Democratic Club, and as a member of the RVC Democratic Club Board of Directors. Her commitment to serving others and to improving social conditions through political and community activism was unwavering and present until her last days.
